Introduction:

ZHONG QIAO GLOBAL CHEMICAL SERVICE CO., LTD. is the Initiator of China anthraquinone (AQ) process for production of hydrogen peroxide, the governing unit of China Association of Inorganic Salt Peroxide Branch and the hydrogen peroxide technology has enjoyed high reputation at home and abroad.

ZHONG QIAO is H₂O₂ process technology had been twice awarded the "National Science and Technology Progress Prizes" in 1985 and 1995. In 2000, 2002 and 2005, three projects with different capacity were awarded "the National and Chemical Industry's Excellent Design Prizes" respectively. ZHONG QIAO is process technology and design attracts great attention both domestic and international technical market.

ZHONG QIAO based on own strength, exclusively took the lead to sucessfully research and develop complete set anthraquinone process, adopting palladium catalyst and fixed bed hydrogenation as the core, possessing advantages of advanced technology, safety and reliability, lower energy consumption, continuous operation process, DCS system automation as well as adaptability to large-scale industrial production, etc. and possessing independent intellectual property.

In recent years, ZHONG QIAO GLOBAL CHEMICAL SERVICE CO., LTD. continuously improved hydrogen peroxide production process and technology, has developed advanced three-solvent working solution systems (AR-TOP-TBU or MCA), refining & purification technology, concentration technology, food grade product technology, emergency shutdown system (ESD) and high efficiency new type palladium catalyst, and continues to lead the development of hydrogen peroxide technology in China.

Up to now, more than 100 sets of plants have been licensed and designed by ZHONG QIAO. The output capacity ranged from 1,000t/a to 50,000 t/a (100% basis). Among them, the plant ZHONG QIAO transferred to Sindopex Indonesia in 1993, with capacity of 4,000t/a (100% H₂O₂), has been successfully running to now. In early 1995, ZHONG QIAO signed another project contract with Samator Group in Indonesia with capacity of 10,000 t/a (100% H₂O₂), which was put into operation in 1997, has been running normally to now. In 2000, the technology transferred to Zhongcheng Chemicals Inc., Ltd with capacity of 25000 t/a (100% H₂O₂), which put into production in 2001 marked that ZHONG QIAO’s technology stepped into the international first class. In 2009, ZHONG QIAO licensed the first 50,000 t/a (100% H₂O₂) plant to Shandong Huatai-interox Chemical Co., Ltd, a joint venture between Shandong Huatai Group and Solvay Interox (the biggest H₂O₂ manufacture in the world). This plant was successfully put into operation in the September, 2011. In 2012, ZHONG QIAO transferred its technology to Yangmei Taihua with capacity 71,500 t/a (100% H₂O₂), which is largest fix bed plant in China.

The main features of ZHONG QIAO is process are as follows:

① The hydrogenation stage based on the palladium catalyst and fixed-bed process;

② The oxidation stage based on the air oxidation process with hollow tower;

③ The extraction stage based on the extraction process with sieve-plate tower and purification process;

④ The trioctyl phosphate, TBU and heavy aromatics is as working solvent;

⑤ The minor Hydrogen Peroxide by-product produced by the plant will be used to treat the wastewater discharged from production plant;

⑥ Refinery and concentration patent technology;

⑦ Optimized engineering and advanced auto control system;

⑧ Economic and suitable project investment;

⑨ Lower consumption and operation cost;

⑩ Excellent safety record.

Now, the new technology has followed advantages:

1, High hydrogenation efficiency, which can reach 8.5g/L-9.5g/L;

2, The oxidation yield is higher, which is no smaller than 95~97 %;

3, The extraction concentration is higher, which can directly produce 35% hydrogen peroxide;

4, The extraction raffinate is lower, which is:

No larger than 0.15g/L by 27.5% H₂O₂ production;

No larger than 0.25g/L by 35% H₂O₂ production.

5, The productivity of catalyst can reach 6.5Kg 100% H₂O₂/Kg cat·d and catalyst load is smaller;

6, The consumption is lower, raw materials consumption is much lower;

7, After optimized design, equipment is much safer, more eco-friend and more stable for operation;

8, The quality of product is much better and usually the TOC of product is no larger than 150ppm.
