The fluidized-bed catalysts currently used in China are dependent on imports completely, considering the complexity of catalyst preparation process, the high technical barriers and the blockade of foreign technology. After years of research and development, LRDICI has successfully developed a fluidized-bed catalyst with independent intellectual property. Compared with the fixed-bed catalysts, fluidized-bed catalysts possess the following pros:
1. The reaction rate is high. The surface area of the fluidized-bed catalyst is dozens of times that of the fixed-bed catalyst with the same mass, thus reducing the diffusion resistance greatly.
2. The degradation of effective anthraquinone is suppressed. The catalyst is in uniform contact with the working solution in the fluidized bed, and the bed temperature is even. Besides, channeling or drift doesn't appear for the working solution, and there is no abnormal phenomenon such as local hot spots or catalyst agglomeration. Therefore, the side reactions are resisted and the consumption of effective anthraquinone is reduced.
3. The production capacity for a single set of industrial plant is high. The domestic maximum production capacity of one set employing fluidized beds is 840 kilo tons (calculated as 27.5w% H2O2) per year, which is 2-3 times that of fixed beds.
